Despite being so close to urban development, the Wharf and its surrounds are proving a little haven for wildlife. On this page we’ll keep track of our smaller visitors.
Exciting Visitors
Hare (Lepus europaes) – Sighted Aug 2021, running across the field behind the Wharf
Raptor, unidentified – Regularly seen in the sky above the wharf and field
Willow Tit (Poecile montanus) First spotted Sept 2021, a fairly regular visitor to the wharf.
Woodpecker, probably a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, (Dendrocopos minor) Sighted Mar 2022
Crested Newt (Triturus cristatus) – Spotted April 2022
